Abstract: This paper analyzed production and consumption situation of fossil fuel in Sichuan province. It showed that fossil fuel in Sichuan suffered from insufficiency, low quality, difficult mining, contradiction between production-consumption structure and energy storage structure, high intensity and low utilization in energy consumption and high carbon dioxide emission. Under the low-carbon development with the consideration of economics and environment, the proposals for fossil fuel development in Sichuan province are put forward.
