Abstract: A new kind of acidic carboxymethyl guar gum fracturing fluid is developed. Experimental results show that advantages of this fracturing fluid by cross bonding at acidic conditions are as follows: good rheological behavior, gel breaking completely, gel breaking liquid viscosity of 3.44 mPa·s, residue of 144 mg/L, and little damage to formation, etc. It has been proved to have obvious effects in creasing yield by successful fracturing in six wells in Zhenbei Chang 8 formation and this fracturing fluid is very suitable for alkaline sensitivity reservoir transformation.
