Abstract: A large number of oily cuttings are produced in shale gas well drilling process, the researches of resource utilization caused more and more attention, and the related practice has made great progress. In Changning and Weiyuan shale gas development national demonstration zone, the liquid of oil-based mud reuse for environmental technology(LRET) and thermal analysis technology were used to carry out oil-based cuttings processing practice, the treated oil content is less than 1%, and the oil recovery rate is above 95%. Especially after the leaching liquid was treated by LRET, its indicators suchas the toxicity, flammablity, corrosivity, reactivity, acute toxicity, etc. were qualified. It has accumulated valuable experience of oil base rock cuttings with safety, environmental protection and high efficiency.
