Abstract:
In this paper, the current common sulfur removal method of low temperature Claus(CBA and CPS) process sulfur recovery device during shut-down period were introduced. The optimized operation test was carried out on the production of the sulfur removal device of low temperature Claus sulfur recovery unit in Wanzhou Branch of Chongqing Natural Gas Purification Plant General, PetroChina Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company. The results showed that the bed temperature of reactor rose after using the operating mode of adding excess oxygen gradually during the desulfuration phase of inert gas. It could shorten the sulfur removal time by the premise of ensuring complete sulfur removal and controlling the SO
2 emission rate in exhaust gas.
