Abstract: The demand for water has been growing gradually in the process of the exploration and development of shale gas in Sichuan Changning-Weiyuan shale gas field. However, the large quantity of waste-drilling fluid and fracturing flowback fluid has a far-reaching influence on the water environment. We studied the technology and management of the wastewater treatment, and used the source control, process control, the treatment of wastewater and recycling to actively accelerate the wastewater ecomanagement. This paper summarized the experience of wastewater management in Sichuan shale gas field, and provided suggestions to achieve the goal of "reduction, recycling and harmless".
