Abstract:
The triethylene glycol(hereinafter short for TEG) dehydration process is widely applied in natural gas industry at present. Dehydration is necessary for natural gas extracted from high sulfur content gas field to prevent the formation of hydrates and reduce the corrosion hazard caused by the acid fluid generated during natural gas transportation. The TEG dehydration process has been used at gas gathering stations, but the corrosion degree of different TEG dehydration processes on pipes and equipments are different. Through HYSYS simulation, four TEG dehydration processes were demonstrated which including typical process of TEG dehydration, regeneration gas recovery process, TEG high pressure rich liquid gas stripping process and low pressure rich liquid gas stripping process. The analysis results showed that the TEG low pressure rich liquid gas stripping process had good dehydration effect. It reduced the corrosion of equipments and reduced the H
2S emissions significantly, which could solve the pollution problems of regenerated exhaust gas effectively. Therefore, the TEG low pressure rich liquid gas stripping process has prodigious popularization value.
