Abstract:
To meet the upgrading requirements of total sulfur content index in GB 17820-2018 Natural Gas, the adsorption performance of different types of molecular sieves for mercaptan were studied, and the adsorption and regeneration performance of 13X molecular sieves for mercaptan were mainly investigated. The experimental results show that 3A molecular sieve hardly adsorbs mercaptan, 4A molecular sieve has small adsorption capacity for mercaptan, 5A molecular sieve and 13X molecular sieve have relatively stronger adsorption capacity for mercaptan. The order of adsorption capacity of 13X molecular sieve for mercaptan and hydrogen sulfide is: ethanethiol > methylmercaptan > H
2S. The regeneration temperature range of 13X molecular sieve for adsorbing methanethiol should be 200-250 ℃, and that for adsorbing ethanethiol should be 250-300 ℃, and the order of regeneration from difficult to easy is: H
2S > ethanethiol > methylmercaptan.
