Abstract:
In view of the problem of high concentration organic sulfur occurring in the development of northeastern Sichuan high sulfur gas field, a gas-phase fixed bed catalyst for the hydrolysis of carbonyl sulfide in natural gas was studied and developed by using the preparation technology of multi-element metal complex fixed catalyst. The factors influencing the hydrolysis conversion rate of catalyst under different temperature, space velocity and gas composition were investigated experimentally. According to the research results, the application conditions of hydrolysis catalyst for carbonyl sulfide in natural gas were recommended. Based on the wet purified gas at the outlet of amine liquid absorber in northeastern Sichuan high sulfur gas field, when the mass concentration of carbonyl sulfur was 200-300 mg/m
3, the catalyst stability of carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis with continuous operation for 200 h was investigated. The results showed that the hydrolysis rate was greater than 97%, and the mass concentration of carbonyl sulfide at the reactor outlet was less than 10 mg/m
3. Gas phase fixed bed catalytic hydrolysis technology and matching hydrolysis catalyst in natural gas could be used to solve the removal of organic sulfur dominated by carbonyl sulfide in northeastern Sichuan high sulfur gas field. The total sulfur mass concentration in commercial natural gas was less than 20 mg/m
3 which met the requirement of GB 17820-2018 Natural Gas.
