Abstract:
With the trend of green development of natural gas industry, the quality of natural gas products is upgrading rapidly. Thus the level of analysis technology of total sulfur content as a key indicator needs to be improved to meet the production demand of online monitoring. Based on the extensive investigation and analysis of the development trend of natural gas industry and technical indicators, this paper introduces the international standardization research results of total sulfur detection technology, and carries out the experimental research on the detection limit, repeatability and consistency of three on-line detection methods of total sulfur (GC-
μTCD, GC-IMS, GC-FPD). The results show that the three methods are applicable to detect total sulfur in natural gas, which provides the foundation for the selection and optimization of the on-line analysis method of total sulfur in the future. Finally, it is pointed out that the realization of online detection of total sulfur in natural gas is the trend of future development. In the next step, we will continue to carry out online total sulfur detection by chromatography technology and take part in the international standardization, in order to further establish China′s leading position in this field, and provide technical support and standardization guarantee for the green development of natural gas.
