Abstract:
Objective The aim of this study is to verify whether the fire separation distance between the centralized control room, the duty room of the loading area, and the LNG facility in the small mobile LNG skid-mounted recycling station meets the actual production requirements in accordance with the existing standards.
Methods PHAST software developed by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) was used to simulate and calculate the thermal radiation of pool fire, jet fire, vapor cloud explosion, and vapor cloud diffusion influence distance caused by LNG leakage under representative leakage conditions.
Results The influence distance of LNG facilities with different accident consequences caused by different leakage apertures is obtained.
Conclusion Based on the statistics of the leakage probability of the process pipelines, suggestions for the fire separation distance between the centralized control room, the duty room in the loading area, and the LNG facility in the small mobile LNG skid-mounted recycling station are provided.
