Abstract:
Objective The aim is to determine the sensitive parameters affecting the water dew point of triethylene glycol (TEG) dehydration process of high-sulfur natural gas.
Method Based on the actual on-site monitoring data, the correlation analysis method was used to evaluate the correlation degree between the water dew point and eight influencing factors, including feed gas flow rate into the absorber, feed gas temperature into the absorber, feed gas pressure into the absorber, lean liquid temperature into the absorber, reboiler temperature, TEG circulation flow rate, lean liquid mass fraction, and TEG solution pH.
Result The correlation degree values of TEG solution pH, feed gas temperature into the absorber, lean liquid temperature into the absorber, feed gas pressure into the absorber and water dew point were more than 0.9, which were sensitive parameters affecting the water dew point of high-sulfur natural gas TEG dehydration process.
Conclusion The research results can provide a basis for optimizing the operating parameters of high-sulfur natural gas TEG dehydration process, improving dehydration efficiency, and reducing energy consumption.
