Abstract: Based on the demand of hydrogen in PTA (pure terephthalic acid) plant, combining with the byproduct methane in sewage treatment unit of PTA plant, this paper briefly introduced the principles and processes of hydrogen production technology by methane. The analysis results showed that the application and promotion of hydrogen production technology by methane in PTA plant can achieve energy saving and emission reduction, as well as good economic and social prospects. Therefore, it has considerable prospects.
