Preparation and Characterization of Perovskite-Type LaFe1-xCoxO3 Oxides and Its Catalytic Activity for Methane Partial Oxidation

  • Perovskite-type LaFe1-xCoxO3 oxide catalysts were prepared by the sol-gel method and the catalysts were characterized by means of H2-TPR and CH4-TPSR.The consumption of surface oxygen and the reaction of methane at the surface were investigated.The results indicated that there were two kinds of oxygen species in LaFe1-xCoxO3 catalysts, strong oxygen species and weak oxygen species.With the amounts of Co increased, the oxidated reaction translated from the partial oxidation of methane to the total oxidation of methane.It was harmful to the partial oxidation of methane (POM) to synthesis gas.
