Study on Inhibition of Fungi in Aviation Kerosene

  • The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of four kinds of fungistats on three kinds of fungi in aviation kerosene is studied using liquid modified doubling dilution method.The results show that the least MIC of guaiacol on the cladosporium (M1), aspergillus carbonarius (M2), penicillium (M3) is 0.15%, 0.20% and 0.20% respectively.Synergistic inhibitory effect of these four fungistats is studied using orthogonal experiments.The results show that the complex formulation of 0.3% of cinnamaldehyde, 0.3% of guaiacol, 0.1% of dehydroacetic acid and 0.1% of 2-phenylphenol shows the best effect on inhibiting the growth of M1;the complex formulation of 0.1% of cinnamaldehyde, 0.2% of guaiacol, 0.05% of dehydroacetic acid and 0.2% of 2-phenylphenol shows the best effect on inhibiting the growth of M2;the complex formulation of 0.3% of cinnamaldehyde, 0.1% of guaiacol, 0.05% of dehydroacetic acid and 0.2% of 2-phenylphenol shows the best effect on inhibiting the growth of M3.
