Application of super sonic separator on offshore platform

  • Super sonic separator is a new technology for natural gas dehydration and dehydrocarbon. Comparing to the traditional natural gas dehydration technology, it has advantages of low investments, high efficiency, low power consumption and small equipment dimension, but it has the disadvantage of high pressure drop. This paper discussed the application feasibility of the new technology on offshore platform dehydration and dehydrocarbon process, made a comparison with the traditional natural gas dehydration technology.
