Research on corrosion monitoring technology in high sour gas field

  • In the process of gas transportation and desulfurization technology in high sour gas reservoir, the corrosion caused by CO2-H2O, H2S-H2O, CO2-H2S-H2O and R2NH-H2S-CO2-H2O, etc. can cause enormous losses, therefore, monitoring and safety evaluation for corrosion behavior is essential in sour gas well, which is of great significance for safety optimize the natural gas production. In this paper, based on investigation and study of corrosion and monitoring situation in high sour gas well, arranging of corrosion monitoring points, choices corrosion monitoring methods, division of corrosion loop and establishment of corrosion database and reliability evaluation etc. were introduced, corrosion monitoring technology for Longgang sour gas field was taken as an example.
