A study on American gas distribution integrity management program (DIMP) method

Currently, Chinese city gas companies are using the same method of transmission pipeline on distribution pipeline without considering the uniqueness of distribution pipelines, which cause the stagnant development of DIMP. America published the regulation concerning DIMP in 2009 and established comprehensive systems and associated technique to support it. Six years later, it had already achieved prominent success. Therefore, studying on DIMP by reading the regulation and guidebook, analyzing the database and experiencing the commercial software would bring inspiration to our DIMP development.
