Experimental research on CO2 gas absorption and desorption characteristics by MEA-PEHA composite solution

  • To develop an excellent MEA and enamine mixed solution, employed the self-designed CO2 absorption and desorption device, the absorption rate, absorption capacity, desorption rate, etc, were tested to evaluate the best enamine solvent and the mixed solvent with MEA. Research results showed that PEHA was the best enamine solvent which has the best absorption and desorption properties and the lowest desorption temperature. In different molar concentration ratios (4:6-9:1) of MEA-PEHA mixed solution, the mixed solution of 5:5 molar concentration ratio was the best MEA-PEHA mixed solution, because it had the maximum saturated absorption capacity (1.72 mol), the highest average absorption rate (81.74×10-6 mol/s), the lowest desorption temperature(68 ℃), the maximum average desorption rate (137.09×10-6 mol/s) and higher desorption capacity (95.23%).
