Potentiometric titration analysis of surfactant concentration in ASP flooding effluents

  • Taking sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDS) as an example, the influence of factors such as pH value, salinity, polymer concentration and petroleum acid soap concentration on the titration results of surfactant concentration has been investigated. The titration result is on the high side because of the existing of petroleum acid soap and polymer may. And a method to minimize the influence of petroleum acid soap and polymer on the titration results is developed. Besides, the method detection limit is also studied. This method provides a reference for the concentration analysis of anionic surfactants such as SDS in ASP flooding.
