Recovery and utilization of regenerated waste gas containing BTEX from TEG dehydration unit

  • TEG dehydration process is the earliest application process in natural gas industry. It is also a common method. Usually the TEG lean liquid was enriched by stripping regeneration to make the water dew point of transportation dry gas meeting the environmental requirements. Currently, since the generated exhaust gas of TEG dehydration process was discharged directly, when the natural gas contain BTEX components, it would do great harm to the environment and the operation staff. The typical process of triethylene glycol dehydration was demonstrated by HYSYS simulation, and the regenerated waste gas was condensed and recycled for stripping gas and DRIZO dehydration process. The analysis results showed that DRIZO dehydration process had good dehydration effect, low energy consumption and BTEX emissions. It provided effective solutions to the pollution of regenerated waste gas, the loss of triethylene and other issues which had a high popularizing value.
