Uncertaintyevaluation oftotalsulfurcontent determination results bytwo methods

Abstract
There are several methods of determining total sulfur content of gas in industry, but the most commonly used methods for oil and gas industry are oxidative microcoulometry (OM) and ultraviolet fluorescence (UF). Since the OM can directly trace to SI system unit, its measurement uncertainty is obviously better than that of UF. Therefore, it is suggested that the OM should be a arbitration method (PMM) for total sulfur content determination. Compared with OM, there are simple operation, faster speed of analysis and environmental advantages for UF, and this method could be a better routine analysis.
