Design and application of on-line deep reactivation device for amine solution

  • Objective The aim is to solve a series of problems, such as the decrease of desulfurization performance, corrosion perforation, foaming and shutdown caused by the self-degradation of alcohol amine solution and external pollution in amine solution system of desulfurization unit in natural gas purification plant.
    Methods The solution system pollutants were analyzed to reduce the pollutants, degradation products and hydrocarbon impurities.The following measures were taken to achieve this goal. Firstly, the pretreatment facilities for feed gas was added. Secondly, the solution filter was set. Thirdly, facilities such as an on-line deep reactivation system of amine solution were added.
    Results The on-line deep reactivation device of amine solution could effectively remove the heat-stable salt and foaming substances in the solution, reduce the foaming height of the solution from 500 mm to 30 mm, and reduce the defoaming time from 110 s to 5 s.
    Conclusions By the deep reactivation of the amine solution to ensure the cleanliness of the solution and restore the performance of the solution. This will significantly reduce the frequency of foaming in the desulfurization unit and ensure a stable and efficient operation of the natural gas purification device.
